Are you serious?

First, read this.

Ok, now that that’s out of the way (and if you don’t think that article was just completely ridiculous then I don’t know what to tell you), how about a little knitting content?  Unfortunately, there’s not much of that.  My computer chargers died a couple days ago so I’ve been without the computer for a while.  I haven’t had a chance to take photos of the current knitting but I can tell you what I’ve been up to…I took a break from the Jaywalkers to knit a hat for one of my friends from Star Island.  Simple 1×1 rib in Cascade 22o.  It’s a little snug but I’m hoping a good wash will loosen it up, and that he has a smaller head than mine plus my dreadlocks (they do add a substantial amount of padding…).  I promised him I’d make him a hat in July, bought some cotton yarn, and then he told me he wanted a wool hat!  Doh!  Well, it’s done know and just needs a wash before I mail it off.

The Jaywalkers have decided they don’t want to be Jaywalkers.  I can’t even tell you how many times I started that damn sock.  Several different needle sizes and types, two different types of heels, it was all just too much.  So now, that Lang Jawoll Cotton Jacquard will become a nice, simple, toe-up ribbed sock.  I figure it kind of makes sense, I’m making them from souvenir yarn from Star, where form always follows function, so these will be nice simple, functional socks.

That’s about it…The Madil scarf still needs to be finished, Rogue is still waiting for some attention…Life is just crazy busy and my knitting motivation seems to have disappeared.  I do have to say not having my computer for a few days definitely made me realize how much time I spend on the computer and how much time I could be spending doing other things.  Now I just need to apply that lesson…
